Bach Meets Cape Breton
EAST COAST MUSIC AWARD Winner!
This melodic, wide-ranging delight has been hailed as "brilliant...an
innovative breakthrough from beginning to end" and "toe-tapping entertainment".
The ensemble Puirt a Baroque (pronounced poorsht-a-baroque) celebrates the music
of Cape Breton and of the Baroque era whence it came. The repertoire (performed
by David Greenberg, violin, Scott Macmillan, guitar and David Sandall, harpsichord)
ranges from works by Bach and Purcell to traditional-style jigs, reels, and hornpipes.
