Bryn Terfel: Songs of My Welsh Home
Anyone who has heard or read about this remarkable bass-baritone knows of the
passion Bryn Terfel has for Wales - the music, the culture, the language of his
home. This recording, made during the early years of his career, is a collection
of songs that mean the most to him. Welsh traditional songs, folk songs, hymns,
and song settings of some of Wales's finest ancient and modern poets evoke the
spirit of this remarkable country. Bryn Terfel is joined on several songs by acclaimed
Welsh tenor John Eifion, and accompanied by piano and harp. Recorded between 1984
and 1990. All songs are sung in Welsh. Catalog: MAR 249
