Frequently asked questions… Why can't I add CDs to the
cart using Firefox? How are my CDs shipped? We ship from Toronto around the world, First Class Mail in Canada and Air Mail to the rest of the world. All items are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit. Marquis tries to provide the best shipping service and lowest cost for our customers. How soon can I expect
my order to arrive? Most orders are mailed out within 48 hours.
Canadian orders can be expected to arrive within a week. American and
international orders will take a little longer because they have to
cross international borders and are handled by more than one postal
system. How do I order on-line? The site uses a shopping cart, much like a store would. To order an item, go to the page that features the CD, enter the number of CDs you want in the "Quantity" box, and click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button. When you finish shopping, you can see what’s in your Shopping Cart by clicking the "View Shopping Cart" button found on many pages of our site. From there, click the "Checkout" button. You will be taken to our order form. When it's completed, your order will be sent directly to Marquis in Toronto. You will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail from Marquis. Why can't
I place more than 1 item in my shopping cart? Normally, you can
place as many CDs in your shopping cart as you like. However, if you
are using software that blocks pop-up ads, this may interfere with our
shopping cart. Why can't
I complete my order on my Mac computer? Why does the on-line order form ask for a password? The password is an optional feature to save you time when you place future orders. When you create a password, your email and mailing address information is stored, and will pop up automatically the next time you order and use your password. The password appears in the order confirmation e-mail, for future reference. No credit card or order information is stored. This feature is optional – if you don’t want to create a password, just skip that box. How do I order off-line? Use the online order area for Phone/Fax orders, or print out the following form. You can then send us your order by mail or fax. Or order by phone. If you order by mail, you can pay by Visa, MasterCard or by cheque (North America) or international money order (world-wide). What telephone
number do I call to place an order? Call 888-627-6165 - toll free
from anywhere in North America, or 416-690-7662 from outside North America. What happens if a CD is out of stock? This hardly ever happens, but if it does we will contact you and you’ll be given some choices. If the CD will be available soon, it can be shipped at a later date with no additional shipping charge. Or, you may choose another CD. If you prefer, we will simply refund your money. How do I pay? All orders are pre-paid, so we need your Visa or MasterCard number and expiry date. This is a SECURE SITE. However, if you prefer, you can phone or fax your credit card number separately. We will not process your payment until your order has been shipped. If you would like to pay by cheque or money order, read “How to Order Off-line” (see above) for information about ordering by mail. Do I have to pay taxes on my purchases? There are no taxes on shipments outside Canada. Canadians will have 6% added to their total order (including shipping). Residents of Ontario and the Maritimes (excluding Prince Edward Island) will pay an additional 8% (PST/HST). Can I buy a gift and have it sent it to another address? Will you wrap my gift? Absolutely! When you place your order, use the "Ship-to" section for the other person’s address. Use the "Special Instructions" box of the on-line order form to request our gift-wrapping service. In that same box, remember to include a personal message for the gift card! Can you help me choose the right gift? If you’re not sure what to get that special someone, feel free to call us for gift advice. We would be pleased to help you in your gift selection. What is your return policy? If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase we will gladly accept a return for exchange or for refund (less shipping and handling). Just return the CD to us within 30 days. Can I return a CD that I received as a gift? We will gladly exchange a CD ordered directly from Marquis as a gift. Just let us know who sent the gift. How do I return
an item? To return a Marquis purchase, please return the CD(s) in
the same or similar packaging to Marquis. If possible, please include
your invoice or sales receipt along with your preference for exchange
or refund. If you no longer have your receipt or invoice, please include
your name and full address. How do I listen to "Radio Marquis"? Radio Marquis lets you listen to ten great Marquis tracks while you are shopping. To hear this music, you need Flash. If Radio Marquis does not play, go to the Macromedia Flash site to download this free software. How do I listen to sound samples? Many CD pages on our site have links to sound samples. To hear these samples you need the RealOne Player or another media player. Visit http://www.real.com to download free software. How do I find out when Marquis recording artists are performing? From the Marquis homepage, click on the “Information about artists on tour” link. On this page you will find a list of artists with either a link to their website or a concert listing. If the artists that interest you are not listed send an e-mail or call us at Marquis. How can I contact Marquis artists? If you would like to send fan mail to your favourite Marquis artist, you can do so by e-mail or snail mail care of Marquis. (info@marquisclassics.com or 30 Kenilworth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M4L 3S3). How can I obtain sheet music? We don’t sell or have sheet music available for our recordings. There are many excellent sheet music sites available on the internet. Try searching by the title of the work you are after. If after your search, you still cannot locate what you’re looking for, contact us. Occasionally Marquis artists have more information, and we would be happy to forward your questions. Can I send my audition tape, CD demo to Marquis for consideration? If you believe that you have a recording that demonstrates quality musicianship and fits the Marquis catalogue, we are interested in hearing your music. In addition to your demo, you should include your phone number and return address; a biography and press clippings, if available. We try to give each artist and their music the time they deserve when reviewing the packages, so we ask for your patience in receiving a response. This can take some time -- about three to four months. You can be assured if the proper address, telephone number, and email address are all enclosed you will receive a response, or your package will be returned after its proper review. Are your CDs available in stores? In North America and many other countries across Europe and Asia our CDs, particularly new releases, are available in major record stores. For older titles, you may have to place a special order from your favourite record store – or you can always order directly from this site. How can I be added to your mailing list? Just ask! Whether by telephone, fax, snail mail or email, send us your mailing and/or email address and we will be happy to add you to our mailing list. You can request to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. If you would like to receive our newsletter, just enter your email address in the space provided at the bottom of the Marquis homepage, and click on “submit”. Will I end up receiving unwanted mail from people and organizations I don’t know? Our mailing list is very important to us, and therefore it is paramount that we respect the privacy of all of those people who have requested to be part of the Marquis mailing list. From time to time, we allow reputable companies who offer quality products similar to our own to use our mailing list.
