Susan Hoeppner
An award winning flutist and graduate of the Juilliard School, Susan
Hoeppner has become an artist of international renown performing as
a guest soloist with orchestras around the world. Her tours have taken
her across Europe, Japan, Argetina and North America.
Ms. Hoeppner gave her New York debut to critical acclaim. She is the
first woodwind player to win the grand prize of the Canadian Music Competition,
and has also won other competitions including the New York Olga Koussevitsky
Flute Competition. Frequent appearances through radio and television
have brought her to the attention of audiences across Canada and the
United States.

Rachel Gauk
Several important debuts in recent seasons have confirmed Ms. Gauk's
arrival on the international music scene. She performed Rodrigo's Concierto
de Aranjuez with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, presented a solo recital
at the National Arts Center in Ottawa, and performed two concerti with
the New World Chamber Orchestra in Mexico City.
As an orchestral soloist, her appearances have been uniformly successful,
such as her concerts with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Kingston
Symphony Orchestra, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. Rachel's
particular affinity for the contemporary voice of the guitar continues
to generate many performances and world premieres, including the Montage
Concerto by Omar Daniel and the challenging Concerto by Harry Somers,
with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony under the direction of Agnes Grossman.
