
Halifax-born Scott Macmillan and Doctor of
Letters from the University College of Cape Breton, enjoys continued
success as conductor, composer, arranger, solo artist and producer.
Currently making his home between Mabou and Halifax, it is not uncommon
to see Scott flat-picking at the Red Shoe pub one night and performing
with Symphony Nova Scotia the next.
He has received accolades for his works in the fields of classical,
pop, jazz, blues and Celtic music.
Scott is a member of the Canadian League of Composers, an Associate
Member of the Canadian Music Centre and the Guild of Canadian Film Composers.
