May 1, 2004 - The Canadian Staff Band, under Bandmaster Kevin Hayward, celebrated its 35th anniversary at a gala concert in Toronto this evening. Jens Lindemann was the special guest soloist, and the event also became a celebration of the band and trumpet virtuoso's release of their first CD together - Rising Sun.
April 28, 2004 - Molly Johnson's popularity in France continues to grow following a sold-out show at the prestigious La Cigale in Montmartre, Paris. This was Molly's second appearance in Paris, following two sold-out shows at the New Morning club last December. As a result of these successes, a show has been scheduled for the Paris Olympia - the ultimate Paris venue - later this year. As a result of the show and all the publicity around it, Molly's recording Another Day jumped 50 places in one week on the French bestseller chart.
April 5, 2004 - Maria Antonakos is at work in Toronto recording her next CD for Marquis. Watch for the haunting and lyrical "Mystras", featuring original and traditional songs in English, Greek and Spanish. Coming in June! Maria's debut CD is Four Corners, No Walls, also on Marquis. March 26, 2004 - The Westben Arts Festival Theatre has announced its summer Concerts at the Barn lineup. This wonderful festival, which takes place in a glorious setting outdoors and in a timber-frame barn near Campbellford, Ontario this year will feature baritone Russell Braun performing Schubert's Die Winterreise song cycle, the UBC Opera Ensemble performing Mozart's The Magic Flute, and much more. Artistic and Managing Director Brian Finley and soprano Donna Bennett recorded an exquisite CD for Marquis - Lullabies for Benjamin.

March 1, 2004 - Molly Johnson has another single from her current CD Another Day hitting radio and video stations across Canada. The track is "Melody" and was co-written with Craig Ross (guitarist for Lenny Kravitz). The music video for the song is animated and was produced in France. February 26, 2004 - Molly Johnson continues to make a name for herself in France. Another Day is currently #82 on the Top 150 Chart, 13 weeks after release. It is #6 on the Jazz Charts, but as four of the six are actually mid-price reissues, the album is actually the best selling jazz new product after Norah Jones in France. Molly will be performing at the famous La Cigale in Paris on April 28 and will be playing several European jazz festivals this summer.
February 26, 2004 - The Canadian Women's Foundation will present Songbirds of Spring, a Gala Fundraiser, on Tuesday, May 18 at 8:00pm at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. The Marquis-sponsored event presents Maria Antonakos, Molly Johnson and Patricia O'Callaghan in concert. Proceeds from the show will support the foundation's work to end violence against women and to help build economic self-sufficiency for women and their children.
February 8, 2004 - Patricia O'Callaghan today completed shooting a music video in Toronto. The featured song is "Sad Boy", which she co-wrote with Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies, and which appears on her just-released CD, Naked Beauty. View some scenes from the video shoot.
February 6, 2004 - Molly Johnson has been nominated in two categories at the Canadian Independent Music Awards: Favourite Solo Artist and Favourite Pop Artist. The awards known as "The Indies" are Canadian Music Week's Opening Night party, kicking off the festivities for the CMW Music Festival, running from March 3 - 6. Molly also has three nominations in this year's National Jazz Awards: Best Vocalist, Best Songwriter and Musician of the Year. The release of Molly's CD Another Day in Europe is a huge and growing success. Thanks to her rapidly growing fan base, the CD is on the Top 100 chart in France. Watch for Molly on billboards all over Paris!
February 6, 2004 - Molly Johnson's drummer, Mark McLean, has been nominated for a National Jazz Award in the category Drummer of the Year.
