Orion Master Recordings - New on Marquis

Orion Master Recordings was started in Montreal by Giveon Cornfield in 1962 as Baroque Records Company of Canada, with a mission to fill gaps left by the major labels, especially in the areas of early and chamber music. In 1967, with a move to the United States, the label was reborn as Orion Master Recordings.

Orion Master Recordings was one of North America's pioneering independent classical labels, renowned for the audiophile quality of its recordings, from its state-of-the-art mastering to its quality processing, and for its beautiful artwork.
These efforts won the label critical acclaim and music fans around the world.

Marquis is pleased to make these superb recordings available once again. The first ten recordings were released in February 2006. Series 2, with ten more titles, were released in November 2006. Series 3 is now available.
